Dripping with melted cheeses...

the quotable c.e.o.

2002-06-18
i think my interview went really well yesterday. it was an hour and twenty minutes long. i was the first to interview and i still have to do a second interview. so, if an offer comes along, it probably won't be for awhile...

the people i interviewed with were interesting. i remembered john from the interviews last fall. he's an extremely successful conservative republic lawyer who teaches classes on wine, owns an art gallery, and drives a gas-guzzling luxury s.u.v.

the other guy made me want to laugh. he was all suited up but seemed somewhat uncomfortable. he's the c.e.o. of his company. throughout the entire interview he kept throwing in quotes for everything anyone said. i'd say "i prefer small office settings", and he'd say "well, as (insert name) once said, it's better to be a big fish in a small pond than a regular size fish in a large pond". it was amusing. he had dozens of them. an appropriate quote for everything john or i said.

i have a dispatch interview tomorrow morning. i'll be driving back up this evening and staying over at my apartment tonight for that one.

i went to see david after the interview last night and we went out to eat and did some shopping.

i woke up over an hour before my alarm went off this morning. birds are awfully loud. i'll close my windows tonight.

i've got a three hour staff meeting to look forward to today at work. yipee.

p.s. once again, more questions for those wiser than i... does anyone know why the "guestbook" link seems to have pushed over that black line on the side of this template?

p.s.s. i can see a section for my email address link right before the guestbook thing in my html, but it doesn't show up...related perhaps?
