the land of farmer's daughters
i went to iowa today for a family reunion. it was strange. we only knew a few people there. it was really different from when we used to go when i was young. fewer people and more distant relations.
it was a typical iowa potluck picnic thing. good people. part of me wished i had been born an iowa farm girl, married a farmer, and lead a simple life. i guess it wouldn't have worked out that way for me even if i'd been born there though. i guess what i was really wishing is that i didn't want anything more than that. it seems so simple. so nice.
i have an interview after work with the law firm. i went out and bought some clothes tonight. i should be ready to go tomorrow.

p.s. does anyone know how to change the link color on just the bottom links in the yellow part to another color? i want the link to diaryland and lexy to show up... i'm an html retard :(
