Paperback Cheese Novel
Dripping with melted cheeses...

after the fact

2002-07-30
i was still cleaning john's desk not too long ago and one of the other lawyers came in.

she told me john uses folded up scraps of paper to pick his teeth. i immediately dropped the scraps i was holding and went to the bathroom to wash my hands.

yuck.

only an hour until i can go home. i'm going to eat pizza, sit on the couch, and let my brain melt until it's time to go to bed.

the alternative being...

it has been a rather slow morning. i'm sitting at my desk listening to the intern across the hall noisily eat his lunch. i forgot to bring mine and am too lazy to walk down the street and buy something. so i'll suffer through until dinner.

i helped john organize his desk this morning. we'll continue working on it after lunch. it's amazing how much you can get on a desk. bills, case files, random garbage, prescriptions, business cards, magazines, etc.

i finally fixed my "older entries" page today. and worked on adding a few little things to my template. i've started writing in other diaries again as well. those of you who know the address should feel free to check back on them.

i downloaded aim and msn messenger on my work computer. i need to pick up some speakers for here as well. we're allowed to download music and whatever else we'd like. there is quite a variety of music coming from each person's office here. whoever had this computer before me had a thing for n'sync. i found plenty of songs still up on winamp...odd...

i've started looking into the requirements for air traffic controllers. it looks like something i might actually consider. government jobs have great benefits. air traffic controllers have to retire by age 56 and can retire at 50. the schooling isn't too long, and the job market is excellent for that kind of work right now. further investigation is needed...
