some input please?

nothing terribly exciting is going on my my life right now. my dad is out of town so my mother and i have been spending a lot of time together.

we've been going out for breakfast and dinner, shopping, sitting around the house talking, and renting movies. we watched "vanilla sky" last night.

i went and met up with nate and tim tonight. we went to the park and hit some softballs around the diamonds. i was horrible, but i had fun. we went back to nate's place, more people came over, and hung out in the garage, drinking, talking, and playing cards.

i celebrated a month and a half of not smoking (no, not cigarettes :P) with a decent amount of some pretty sweet-smelling stuff. i was feeling pretty good. my tolerance is down to almost nothing right now.

i've decided to drive somewhere on my week off between jobs. i haven't decided where to go yet. i'm thinking about going to south bend to see my friend sarah. i may do that and stop in chicago to see chaddy on the way back. i figure if i go somewhere, it will feel like more of a vacation than just sitting around the apartment for a week (the previous plan). any suggestions? keep in mind: 1. limited cash, 2. should be no more than one day's driving distance from minnesota, 3. limited cash.
